The main goal was to redesign the Tasks feature from ground up in order to improve usability and work speed for Sling’s users. After thorough research I came to a great solution of using already known flow for tasks from companies such as Asana & Basecamp. I adapted the flow and made feature blend in with the main product so it does not look odd and also makes it easy to use for non technical customers. As a result, after first 3 months, user happiness improved and and the company gained a new competitive advantage.
Besides redesigning the main web app we have been asked to work the mobile version too. Here we oversimplified the application and left only the main features so we don't confuse the user. Reducing the number of features on mobile allows the user to focus only on the most important things and in case he is in a rush there are no "blocking moments".
